BIO
Jennifer Coté is a writer who tells empowering stories about women of all ages chasing their dreams.
Before chasing her lifelong dream of writing fiction, Coté built a career in Hollywood during which time she worked extensively as a ghostwriter, developed the Jennifer Lopez vehicle SHADES OF BLUE for NBC, and wrote and produced USA Network’s EYEWITNESS, which won a GLAAD Award for best limited-series. Prior to achieving even a modicum of success in the entertainment industry, she wrote for a lot of questionable publications and bartended at an assortment of exponentially more questionable honky tonks.
Coté holds a B.A. in English literature from Mount Holyoke College and an M.F.A. in screenwriting from The University of Texas at Austin. She grew up between a cemetery and a farm on the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts, and currently lives in a sleepy California beach town together with her husband, a high-tech founder and former magician, and their waggly dog named Claude.
